SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST JOB VACANCY IN DAR ES SALAAM
Position Description
The Sr Finance Analyst plays a key role in providing financial analysis of manufacturing costs with the goal of proactively influencing business decisions.
Work Station-Dar Es Salaam with frequent travel to other regions of Tanzania
Salary Package- Negotiable

Role Responsibilities
vPerform financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modelling, to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
vAnalyse and interpret financial data, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
vPrepare and present comprehensive financial reports, including financial statements, profitability analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs), to senior management and stakeholders.
vAssist in the development and evaluation of financial models and business cases for new initiatives, projects, and investments.
vConduct research and analysis on industry trends, competitor performance, and market conditions to provide insights and recommendations.
vCollaborate with cross-functional teams, such as accounting, operations, and sales, to gather relevant financial information and ensure accuracy of data.
vMonitor and track financial performance against budgets and targets, identifying areas of improvement and recommending corrective actions.
vParticipate in financial forecasting and planning activities, supporting the development of annual budgets and long-term financial strategies.
vStay updated with relevant financial regulations, accounting principles, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
Key Results/Accountabilities
vEnsure accuracy and timeliness in processing general ledger entries, fixed assets transactions, banking transactions, preparing financial and management reports, balance sheet reconciliation, and supporting local statutory and tax (direct and indirect) in accordance with internal policies and procedures, local accounting standards and requirements.
vWork closely with client Operating Units Finance to understand current activities and ensure all changes are reflected in financial statements.
vRegularly track and resolve outstanding issues being identified and escalate to relevant parties as necessary.
vLiaise with internal/external stakeholders as and when necessary
vEnsure service level agreements (SLA) and monthly performance and productivity KPIs are met
vEnsure the ownership for all applicable internal controls related to client processes.
vProactively work with team lead/manager to identify, propose and implement continuous process improvement opportunities in existing processes.
vParticipate in continuous process improvement projects and plans
vInvolvement in ad hoc activities or projects.

v Exhibits solid understanding of P&L concepts and accounting principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of results
v Synthesizes information from disparate sources to deliver comprehensive and actionable insights
v Demonstrates critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
v Partners and communicates effectively across functions and with upper levels of management
v Self-starter, inquisitive and makes process improvement recommendations
v Balances pressures and demands of multiple customers and competing priorities
v Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
v SAP or other ERP system experience and knowledge
Relevant Qualifications/Experience:
vBachelor Degree in Accounting or related field, and/or professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA etc.)
vMSc/MA in Finance is an added advantage
vMinimum 6 years working experience with 2 years experience in handling full set account
vPrior experience in Audit and tax is an added advantage
vProven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role, with relevant work experience.
vStrong analytical skills and ability to work with complex financial data, performing data analysis and interpretation effectively.
vProficient in financial modelling techniques.
vSolid understanding of financial statements, financial ratios, and key financial metrics.
vExcellent attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy and reliability in financial analysis and reporting.
vStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
vAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
vStrong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and provide valuable insights.
vFamiliarity with financial software and systems, such as ERP systems and financial reporting tools, is desirable.
