Iringa Hope, an International Non-Governmental Organization, operates programs in the Northern highlands of Tanzania, specifically in the regions of Iringa and Njombe, with its headquarters in Iringa. Using a unique approach, Iringa Hope provides agricultural financing, marketing, and training to smallholder farmers in Tanzania. Our goal is to alleviate poverty and empower agricultural entrepreneurs. To further our mission, Iringa Hope is seeking applications from qualified individuals for different positions based in Iringa. Position: Field Officer – Market Development
Location: Iringa
Reporting to: Agribusiness Manager Mode
of Transport: Motorcycle (provided)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and expand market reach for fertilizers, sprays, seeds, and other agricultural products • Build strong relationships with farmers and agribusiness clients
- Educate farmers on the benefits, proper use, and application of products
- Identify local market needs, preferences, and trends for crops and agricultural inputs • Keep detailed records of sales activities, client feedback, and market insights
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related field
- Experience: Strong sales skills, communication, and knowledge on agri-inputs and crops business practiced at least 2 years.
- Other Requirements: Valid motorcycle license and willingness to travel extensively to remote areas
