Job type: Full-time

Helen Keller Intl is a global health organization dedicated to combating the causes and consequences of blindness, malnutrition, and poor health. Through our Vitamin A Supplementation (VAS) program, we have reached millions of children in Africa, protecting them from vitamin A deficiency – a condition that can lead to preventable blindness and dramatically increase the risk of illness and death. As countries transition from mass VAS campaigns to routine health service delivery, maintaining high and equitable coverage rates is critical to ensuring no child is left behind.

We are seeking a Statistician to join our dynamic team and play a key role in analyzing and visualizing data that will guide the future of our life-saving VAS program. If you are passionate about global health and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we invite you to be part of a mission that is making a lasting difference.

Position Overview

As a Statistician with Helen Keller Intl, you will apply your statistical and geospatial analysis expertise to support the monitoring and improvement of VAS programs. You will collect, clean, and analyze VAS data from multiple countries, identifying trends and gaps in program coverage, efficacy, and reach. In addition, you will use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to visualize this data, highlighting geographic disparities and informing targeted interventions.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to both immediate programmatic improvements and the global knowledge base around VAS delivery in low- and middle-income countries. You will also support the development of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals, ensuring that your work informs global health strategies.

  • Utilize GIS tools to map VAS coverage, identify geographic disparities, and highlight spatial trends.

Reporting & Knowledge Sharing

  • Produce detailed reports outlining actionable insights and recommendations for program improvement.
