The company has been operating for 8 years and is now looking for a dynamic production manager to achieve it growth goals. The company is located in Mafinga, Tanzania and the project post is for a full-time position on site.

Responsibilities
Management of technical team: Ensuring implementation of maintenance planning and scheduling.
Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in plywood production.
Technical Expertise: Drive best practices, troubleshoot issues, and recommend technological upgrades.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to guarantee plywood meets set specifications.
Maintenance Management: Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure continuous operation.
Safety & Compliance: Uphold safety standards and ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines.
Team Leadership: Mentor and manage the technical team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
Team Building assist in hiring and recruiting of other members of your technical team.
Budgeting: Monitor operational expenses and suggest cost-saving initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate with management, vendors, and external consultants about plant performance and needs.
Documentation: Keep technical documents updated and prepare periodic performance reports. Help attain ISO and FSC certification standards.
Project Oversight: Lead plant-related technical projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree minimum – preferable in engineering
5+ years of experience in a similar role with management responsibilities
Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office
Strong problem solver, with hands-on approach to plan and execute well
Growth mindset and the ability to self-learn and teach others
