The Judiciary Service Commission is an institution established according to Article 112(1) of the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania of 1977. Additionally, the Judicial Service Act, Chapter 237, assigns the Judicial Service Commission, among its other responsibilities, the duty to recruit personnel of various cadres for the Tanzanian Judiciary.
