DURATION OF THE PROJECT:

PROJECT SUMMARY:
EN_REACH-ED is a research project designed to improve school readiness, including a pre-school parenting and teacher readiness program. The project aims to increase the capacity of both parents and teachers to support school readiness for children in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Tanzania. In Tanzania, the study focuses on preparing children and caregivers for entry into preschool education. The initiative, Every Newborn-Reach Up Early Education Intervention for All Children (EN-REACH), will support adapting the EN-REACH program to improve teacher readiness and facilitate smoother transitions to pre-primary education. The study also focuses on the accessibility, equity, and quality of education for learners, including those with disabilities, across primary schools. This one-year project will generate evidence to inform national educational planning and policies, particularly promoting inclusive and equitable learning environments for learners with special needs.
POSITION DESCRIPTIONS:
1. District Supervisors (2 Positions – Full-time)
Key Responsibilities:
-
Coordinate and supervise the study implementation within the assigned district.
-
Ensure proper training, scheduling, and support for field assessors.
-
Monitor field data collection activities, ensuring data quality and protocol adherence.
-
Collaborate with school leadership and local stakeholders to facilitate study activities.
-
Prepare and submit progress reports to the central coordination team.
-
Manage logistics including transport, supplies, and communication for field teams.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing, Education, Special Needs Education, Sociology, Social Sciences, or related fields.
-
Previous experience in education-related research or field coordination.
-
Strong leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills.
-
A valid nursing license.
-
Familiarity with inclusive education is an added advantage.
2. Assessors (8 Positions – Part-time)
Key Responsibilities:
-
Conduct assessments in primary schools as per study tools and guidelines.
-
Administer questionnaires, interviews, and observational checklists.
-
Ensure accurate, ethical, and timely data collection.
-
Maintain close communication with District Supervisors and report daily progress.
-
Uphold child protection and research ethics at all times.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Education.
-
Must be a qualified teacher.
-
Experience in working with primary school learners is required (primary school teaching experience is a strong advantage).

Excellent communication and data collection skills.
-
Commitment to child safeguarding and ethical research standards.
