Job Summary:
Auto electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical system and component in vehicle including cars, trucks and other motorized equipment. Their tasks involves diagnosing electrical circuit. They also work on advance electronic sytem like air conditioning, navigation and infotainment systems. And problem solving skills to ensure the vehicle electrical systems function correctly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
-Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy commercial trucks, including DAF XF, Scania, DAF URO, and Howo models.
-Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure the trucks are operating efficiently and safely.
-Repair and replace mechanical components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
-Troubleshoot and identify mechanical faults using diagnostic tools and methods.
- Service and maintain various truck systems, including engines, exhaust, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures during all repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services performed
Qualifications:
-Diploma of automotive engineering or Mechanical Engineering or any other related field.
-VETA Level 2 or 3 certification in Auto Mechanics is preferred.
- Alternatively, no VETA certificate with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty truck repair.
-Candidates with primary or secondary level education are also encouraged to apply, as long as they have significant practical experience in trucks maintenance.
Experience:
-Minimum of 3+ years of experience working on heavy commercial trucks.
- Experience with DAF XF, Scania, DAF URO, and Howo models is highly preferred.
- Ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of truck mechanical systems.
-Strong knowledge of truck engine mechanics, transmissions, brakes, and suspension.
-Good understanding of diagnostic tools and the ability to use them effectively.
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
-A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
-Good communication skills and the ability to interact with customers and colleagues.
