Position:
Trainee-Air Compressor Assistant Technician

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

1. Educational Background:
   • Diploma, FTC, or Trade Test 1 Certificate in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics from a reputable academic institution.
2. Experience:
   • Two years of strong mechanical and electrical skills.
   • Demonstrated good knowledge in the maintenance, overhaul, and/or repair of a wide variety of industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics.
3. Technical Knowledge:
   • Basic knowledge of rotary screw air compressors.
4. Work Skills:
   • Able to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism.
   • Able to complete work within assigned deadlines.
5. Language Proficiency:
   • Must be able to read and write in Swahili and English.
6. Computer Skills:
   • Computer literate—able to use Windows 11/MS Office is an added advantage.

Training to be Provided

1. Test and document the proper operating parameters of rotary screw compressors.
2. Troubleshooting and repair of electromechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and other industrial or process equipment associated with rotary screw air compressors.
3. Diagnostics on malfunctioning compressors, determining possible causes for malfunctions, and performing repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment.
4. Perform routine, preventative maintenance, and repairs on rotary screw oil-injected and oil-free compressors.
5. Upgrade and configuration changes of process equipment to support process and product design changes.
6. Maintenance of the above equipment and associated ancillary equipment, including in-line filtration, air dryers, and condensate drains.
7. Address other issues related to Rotary Screw Air Compressors.
