Re: Invitation To Submit Proposal For Purchasing The Colonial Gold Tailings Located At Buhemba, Mara Region
- The State Mining Corporation (STAMICO) is a state-owned entity under the Ministry of Minerals established in 1972 under the Public Corporation Act, 1969 through the State Mining Corporation Establishment Order No. 163 of 1972 as amended by GN. 171 of 2015.
- Buhemba Colonial Gold Tailings are 100% owned by STAMICO originated from collonial mining and processing activities between 1930 to 1970. The taillings are located in Buhemba village, Butiama District, Mara Region, Northern part of Tanzania. The area is accessible by car through the Mwanza-Musoma highway towards Butiama District. From Butiama, the Buhemba area is reached using the Butiama-Magunga tarmac road (~35 KM).
- STAMICO is seeking a potential buyer with the financial capability to purchase these Tailings available at Buhemba. It is estimated that a total of 796,400 tons of tailings, grading 1,07g/t of gold, equivalent to 27,397 ounces of gold, are available.
- The Corporation invites the interested buyers to submit proposals for purchasing the aforementioned Buhemba Colonial Gold Tailings. The purchasing price must be included in the proposal. Interested buyers are welcome for site visit immediately after seeing this advertisement. The deadline for submission of proposals is May 7th, 2024, before 1700hrs.
