Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) is Tanzania’s leading gold producer with a single operation in Geita Region. The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in South Africa, with operations in more than ten countries, in four continents. The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. The company has its head office in Geita, only 5 Km’s west of the fast-growing town of Geita, and also a supporting office in Dar es Salaam. ABU GRADUATE TRAINEE PROGRAMME:
AngloGold Ashanti, Africa Business Unit (ABU) has introduced a Graduate Trainee Programme (GTP) with a clear focus on developing the next generation of professionals, providing a comprehensive suite of support and mentorship to cultivate leadership skills and business acumen. The graduates will navigate rigorous assessments at the conclusion of each given period, after which they will not only increase their chance of earning an opportunity to join GGML team as permanent employees but also enter an elite cadre of professionals with prospects for future leadership roles.
PROGRAM CONTENT:
In addition to discipline specific on-the-job training, ABU has curated a selection of training programs designed to equip the graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in their roles and beyond. The programmes will be delivered online via AGA learning platforms e.g. EdCast. These programs have been carefully chosen to empower the graduates and accelerate their career progression. These include; Creativity and Innovation, Time & Priority Management, Career Planning Basics, Communication with Confidence, Personal Branding, MS Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word), Negotiation Skills, Managing Upwards, Business Analytics, Stakeholder Management, Process Improvement and Change Management.
PROGRAM PROJECT:
The graduates will be required to complete a project which will be presented and assessed towards the end of the programme. The project will be selected and approved by respective HOD’s to address a specific business problem.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
• Successful candidates will be offered a 1-year Fixed Term Contract (Non – renewable).
• Selected graduates will report to respective unit / section heads, with close monitoring of respective HOD’s.

EXPERIENCE:
• Eligible candidates MUST have completed or close to completing their 1-year Internship Program with Geita Gold Mining Ltd.
