Job Purpose:

To plan, organize and deliver cost effective and efficient data centers MEP Systems i.e., cooling, power and fire detection that meet and exceed business and customers’ expectations (availability, performance, security, and continuous improvement).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain updated inventory of all mechanical systems assets installed in data centers, branches, Cash Collection Points (CCP) and offsite ATMs and their maintenance history.
  • Daily monitoring, troubleshooting, resolve or escalate to vendors incidents related to the Data Centers Power (Utility feeds, Electrical Systems, Generator systems, UPS, battery strings, etc.), HVAC Systems, Fuel oil Systems, BMS, DCIM, Physical security, access control & other low and Extra Low Voltage systems.
  • Coordination, planning and execution of routine maintenance tasks.
  • Inspect data centers facilities and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
  • Provide statistics and reports to aid in management decisions.
  • Operational support for customers through the provisioning of rack space, requesting data communications connections, and deploying IT infrastructure into the rack space.
  • Supervise new installations, maintenance, repair and testing of mechanical systems, equipment, facilities, and components of electrical systems used by the bank in data centers, branches, Cash Collection Points (CCP) and offsite ATMs to ensure that they are done correctly according to technical specifications, international standards, safety, and bank requirements.
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure compliance to the original design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Investigate mechanical failures and suggest effective and efficient solutions to the line manager and respective vendor.
  • Proactively monitor mechanical and electrical systems parameters and suggest modifications / improvements and upgradations to the line manager.
  • Ensure effective routine and emergency maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems is always conducted by respective vendor to keep the systems in good working condition.
  • Minimize operational costs associated with first level support and Comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) of all mechanical and electric systems done by respective vendors.
  • Produce various daily, weekly, and monthly reports of mechanical and electrical systems performance to the line manager.
  • Manage all facility services related to power, cooling, and building services including risk identification, incident response and customer support.
  • Manage and execute internal corporate and technical policies and procedures.
  • Witness testing of all equipment during startup with construction/installation representatives.
  • Respond on an as-needed basis to incidents and emergencies – such as physical security, cooling, fire alarms, etc., 24 x 7, and arrange for backup when not available within SLA.
  • Implement and enforce corporate safety, health and environmental policies, including activities of external contractors.
  • Manage stock level to ensure spare part min/max levels are met at all times.
  • Update the maintenance SOPs, processes, and checklists to increase its applicability.
  • Interface directly with construction projects team, contractors, and engineering consultants to identify key project concerns and cost issues.
  • Design and review HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, plumbing, and sprinkler systems for various projects using AutoCAD.
  • Ensure quality, good workmanship and safety according to the agreed SLAs, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and standards.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Cooling systems solutions / technologies in the market.
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing banking service environment.
  • Ability to present technical data in a comprehensive, yet clear manner.
  • Competency in troubleshooting and incident management of HVAC systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Good command of Mechanical Engineering Drawings.
  • CDCMP and PMP Certifications
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in HVAC systems support.
