ALM Dealer
PURPOSE OF JOB:
To execute dailytreasury operations with a focus on money market instruments to o ptimize funding mix and funding cos while ensuring risk and liqudity level are aligned with the
overal strategy of the bank.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and project daily cash positions and execute money market transactions to ensure the funding mix and funding cost are in line with the bank’s strategies and liquidity and
interest rate risks are within pre-set risk.
Assist in preparation of ALCO reports and execute all directives on balance sheet and work with business units to mobilize liabilities and asset creation.
Responsible for FTP monitoring and capital management of the bank through desirable business behavior.
Hedge the bank’s balance sheet risks by using available money market and other hedging instruments.
Analyze and prepare investment proposal for the bank to participate in government securities auctions
Coordinate with Treasury back office to ensure smooth execution and settlement of treasury transactions
Develop busines relationships with counterparties and investors to maximize credit lines from the market and contribute to plans for growing the funding base of the bank
Prepare periodic analyses of the bank’s cash flows, assets and liabilities as well as market developments.
Close and consistent monitoring of regulatory ratios for the bank’s compliance.
Ensure compliance to bank and treasury policies and Frameworks.
Undertake other duties assigned by the Department Head and management from time to time.
3. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business-related field.
. ACI Dealing Certificate preferred.
. At least 2 years’ experience in money market trading or a closely related field in a bank.
Good understanding of financial market dynamics.
Good interpersonal and communication (including oral presentation and writing) skills.
Strong capability for negotiation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
