Tearfund a Christian based International NGO, is looking for a Regional Influencing lead for the Southern and East Africa Region (SEA) for model 1 countries to support programmes and projects through local partners.
The Regional Influencing Lead role is key in the organisation’s vision of ending poverty through the provision of high quality support to the SEA region programmes therefore, a mature, experienced and highly motivated operations person is required to:
- Lead, manage, represent and set the overall direction of strategy, networking, advocacy and influencing work.
- Work with local church-based organisations and devise mobilisation approaches through envisioning and strengthening the Church, advocating with national authorities, participation in Integral Mission and influencing change in churches, government, society and countries
- Facilitate sensitive theological conversations among diverse theological perspectives and faith styles.
- Implement and work in accordance with corporate structures, policies and practices
- Oversee the strategic planning, project management and budget management
- Influence change, via networking, opinion shaping and/or policy making
- Have deep understanding of and engagement with Integral Mission theology

Please note: This is a fixed term contract of 3 Years based in any of the model one (1) countries within the SEA Region; Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia, with a possibility of renewal. Applicants must possess the right to live and work in the above listed countries.

The successful candidate will be offered a Gross Salary of 705,083 ZMW if based in Zambia or 125,709,434 TZS if in Tanzania Per Annum.
The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding issues. In addition, personal identification information will be submitted against a Watchlist database to check against criminal convictions as a counter-terror measure.
