OUR CLIENT
Our client, a global humanitarian foundation with a project in Tanzania, aimed at improving the medical care of people with albinism seek to fill the position of a Project Assistant in Tanzania with a suitably qualified and competent person with experience inproject management.
THE JOB
The ideal candidate has primary responsibility to assist in the coordination of the project “Improving the health and well-being of people with albinism in Tanzania and Malawi” for the foundation, contributing to the proper planning and implementation of activities, as well as to the monitoring and evaluation of the project in Tanzania.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities;
· Ensure that project planning and programming are done in line with the Foundation’s strategic positioning.
· Support partners in carrying out activities, including concretizing the recommendations made by the Foundation.
· Ensure that skills are transferred for the benefit of local partners.
· Take part in the definition of an intervention strategy in Tanzania, a communication plan and tools adapted to the implementation of projects.
· Support the search for partners for the development of new activities and/or projects.
· Draft project implementation procedures and coordinate their implementation.
· Prepare management and reporting tools for new projects.
· Ensure that the activities carried out are consistent with those stated in the agreement.
· Ensure that monthly and quarterly reporting of activities is carried out.
· Guarantee the collection and regular monitoring of key project indicators.
· Ensure that project implementation procedures are correctly applied and selected tools used appropriately and suggest and implement corrective actions if necessary.
· Check the activity reports of local partners.
· Organize follow-up meetings with partners, and with Foundation headquarters, and ensure that decisions made are implemented.
QUALIFICATIONS
The job holder should have the following qualifications;
1. Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Management, Social Sciences, or any other relevant field.
2. 2 years’ proven experience as a Project Assistant in Humanitarian sector, or similar role
3. Fluent in English.
4. Strong experience in project management, from conception to delivery.
