Key Responsibilities:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Activity

  • Develop a daily Chute distribution plan
  • Supervise the food scooping process to ensure a beneficiary gets the right entitlement
  • Manage food allocated to his/her chute as standards
  • Supervise Scoopers assigned to the chute
  • Compile food distribution report
  • Supervise chute cleanliness
  • Participate in food prepositioning exercises

 

End Results

  • Daily distribution plan developed and shared with key Supervisor
  • Beneficiaries get the right entitlement (Refer to FBM reports)
  • Food handling principles adhered too
  • Quality services rendered
  • Quality reports compiled and submitted
  • The chute is clean and always
  • Active participation is vivid

 

KNOWLEDGE/ QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLES

Required Professional Experience

  • One-year experience in working with humanitarian operations,
  • Experience in handling commodities management
  • Experience in working with refugee programs

 

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

  • Training in commodities management, and response training.

 

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Advanced Diploma in Accountant, Procurement, Community Economy Development
  • A degree is an added advantage

 

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Swahili

They are always on the ground witnessing the distribution process hence effective communication is essential

 

UNHCR Field Staff

Reason for Contact

To resolve challenges associated with beneficiaries registration

 

Plan International

Reason for Contact

  • For child protection issues associated with food services
  • Refugee community leaders
  • Information dissemination to the communities at large

 

EDP staff

Reason for Contact

Food requests from the store and any communication related to food delivery

 

FBM

Reason for Contact

  • For the effective understanding of discrepancies if any, timely.
