DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To deliver creative traditional yoga & fitness classes including asana, pranayama, meditation and spa treatments.  
• To be well versed in various styles yoga including Hatha, Ashtanga & Iyengar Yoga. 
• To develop Lodge Yoga & fitness programs and keep up to date with yoga trends. 
• Listen to guests needs and design private yoga classes for guests. 
• To inspire and inform guests about yoga through dynamic delivery of lecture series and active interaction with guests in the lodge. 
• To impart yoga knowledge and practices to spa and lodge staff. 
• Understand benefits and contraindications of yoga and fitness practices, spa products and spa services. 
• Conduct fitness class for guests & employees as per plan developed by Spa manager. 
• To arrange and reset the yoga room after each class. 
• To meet and exceed yoga revenue targets. 
• Work as part of team to ensure effective running of Spa department. 
• To cover the spa reception desk and assist with all guest enquiries. 
• The ability to take reasonable care to perform duties as instructed, and to prevent injuries to self and others. Also, to identify and report hazards. 
• Check the upkeep of guest gym, staff gym and report any issues to the Spa Manager. 
• To adhere to all Lodges’ Standards and to Meet and Exceed in all Standard Tests undertaken. 
• Respond properly in any Lodge emergency or safety situation. 
• The ability to perform CPR if needed. 
• Assumes training responsibilities when required, demonstrates a high degree of standards awareness, promotes teamwork and acts as role model. 
• To operate spa booking system in administrative levels.   
• Actively offers operational, employee and customer (internal and external) related feedback to management. 
• Provides professional treatments including massage, facial treatments and body treatments in a sensitive and personalized manner and following company standards and procedures, determines guest needs and preferences by asking pertinent questions.  
• Possesses a high degree of product knowledge and relevant technical skills. 
• Recommends and effectively up sells treatments, packages and retail items in a sensitive and personalized manner. 
• Handles guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism. 
• Has a thorough understanding of all services including benefits, indications and  

            Contraindications for each of the treatments. 

• Adheres to the Lodge’s code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards. 
• Actively participates in briefings and meetings.  
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and promotes complimentary and  

            private Yoga and fitness classes. 

• Adhere to all safety and security Rules & Regulations for the Spa & Fitness area. 
• To be knowledgeable about the Fitness, yoga, relaxation programs and fitness equipment’s. 
• Ensure cleanliness and safe operation of fitness equipment including, gym equipment, free weights, cardiovascular machines and yoga pavilion. Retrieve, deliver, and store/set-up products from purchasing. 
• Ensure all equipment is in safe condition and in working order. 
• To demonstrate a professional attitude at all times, particularly with regard to punctuality, appearance and general manner towards guests and colleagues. 
• To attend all training courses as deemed necessary by the Spa Manager. 
• Actively participates in briefings and meetings. 
• Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden Rule. Attends all scheduled training sessions. 
• Comply with lodges’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in Employee handbook.  
• Actively participates in briefings and meetings. 
• Reads and update the daily Log Book. 
• Identifies and reports facility maintenance issues and equipment related problems immediately. 

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
1.35 Years and below.
2. Diploma or any relevant certificate.
3. At least 3 years of experience in the same role in a luxury hotel or day spa.
4. Knowledgeable in spa and wellness therapies, spa retail, yoga, and veganism. (Including: Energy healing, Ayurveda, and other Asian Healing traditions.)
5. Must have an experience in handling a team.
