PROCUREMENT LEAD-KABANGA
Position Summary:
Tembo Nickel is seeking to recruit a Procurement Lead to join the Tembo Nickel Project Team. This role is based at Kabanga site. The successful candidate will be accountable in managing Demand Planning, Procurement, and Logistics of various materials required for Tembo Nickel Project. The successful candidate will play a key role in liaising with the Mining Commission and ensuring compliance with Local Content regulations. This role will report to the Procurement Manager and will work on 6/3 roster.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support of field construction teams related to complex equipment needs and tight project schedules.
- In conjunction with other stakeholders, define business rules relating to demand management and to effectively implement these for improved supply and cost.
- To drive the demand planning process at the Mine and Refinery sites to ensure that exceptions in demand are communicated effectively and that the required decisions are made to manage the change in demand with minimal impact on the Construction Schedules.
- To monitor suppliers’ technical quality, delivery and financial performance.
- To identify and implement opportunities for reduction in lead time and inventory for total cost reduction in Supply Chain of the Mine.
- All items are procured and expedited effectively to reach the mine on time Work with Community Relations to assess and develop Local Enterprises.
- To take part in identifying cost saving opportunities and work with suppliers to reduce material costs.
- To take place in tender evaluation committee as a commercial member.
- To effectively implement contactors scorecard review meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain and Logistics management
- PSPTB certification is a MUST.
Experience Requirements:
- 5 Years of work experience in Supply Chain and Logistics Management with at least 2 years in demand management/lnventory management role
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Excellent interpersonal Skills
- Excellent working and demonstrated knowledge of ERP/PRONTO systems and MRP.
- Business acumen and excellent work ethics,
