Control Room Operator

Summary of Job Purpose:
Responsible for supervising guards and staffs on the day to day duties pertaining to guarding, punctuality and reporting on sites, absenteeism and lateness as per Company policies, procedures and standards. Control Room Operator will be expected to monitor, identify, document and investigate any inconsistencies that pertain to the safety and security of employees, facilities, products and any other assets.
Duties and Responsibilities;
- Supervise and directs the activities of the assigned guards/staffs, coordinates, prioritize and assign tasks, reviews, work progress and activities.
- Participates in staffs/guards working schedules, undertakes and participates in disciplinary actions as required by the Company.
- Ensuring proper operational coverage.
- Performs daily tasks and duties of Control Room as required, monitor guards/staffs movements while on duties.
- In collaboration with Human Resources Department, you will oversee the entering and departure of employees by examining attendances register books and or biometric attendance.
- Communicate with the field/zone inspectors, Duty officers in all operational issues and duties.
- Monitor vehicle/motorcycles movements and report to the Management team.
- Reports to the Management all abnormalities and day to day activities and follow-ups.
- Assist in studying the problem and issues arising in the operation and process to identify suitable remedial measures.
- Ensuring that Control room remains secure at all times and that no unauthorized person enters the Control room.
- Responding to the intrusion alarm by instructing the team.
- To perform any other duty may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
IDEAL CANDIDATE/QUALIFICATIONS
- At least a Form IV education and above.
- At least two (2) years of Control Room Operator experience.
- Computer literate, an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft products is essential (word, excel, mails and outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Kiswahili and English languages.
- Excellent knowledge of security protocol and procedures.
- Experience using relevant technology and security equipment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
